Wedding Videographer Training + Quiz

Please watch all videos and review all materials thoroughly. The couples who select you to be their wedding photographer are relying on you to capture one of the most important days of their lives. It may be the only day their friends and family all come together, and remembering it through quality media helps reinforce those important bonds.

Video Style

We define our style as candid, journalistic, documentary, and fly-on-the-wall. We encourage our shooters to constantly be seeking the best combination of light, shape, color, and, most importantly, emotion.

That said, coverage is also paramount. If a detail is present, please capture video of it, preferably from multiple angles and focal lengths, especially if the detail was brought in or crafted rather than preexisting at the venue. We can always exclude unnecessary footage from the final video, but we can't recreate the day.

Coverage

During the following moments, one camera at least at all times needs to be rolling, steady, in focus, and well-framed:
Ceremony First Look Grand Entrance Toasts First Dances Exit
During these events, prioritize coverage and editable frames, not risky, unique, brief shots. Coordinate with the other videographer so both shooters are capturing frames that will work together in the edit. It all has to be covered!
